About the programme

Curious, critical and creative — that’s what defines a journalist today. The English-taught Bachelor in International Journalism at Artevelde University of Applied Sciences trains you to tell stories that matter, to audiences around the world. You’ll learn to report across borders, platforms and cultures in an international classroom setting.

The programme combines journalistic storytelling, media ethics, digital production and cross-cultural reporting. You’ll work on real news projects, produce podcasts, videos and written features, and collaborate with international media partners. Courses in data journalism, multimedia storytelling, and investigative techniques prepare you to thrive in today’s fast-evolving media landscape. During your final year, you can study abroad and complete a journalism internship in an international newsroom or media organisation.

Graduates of International Journalism become multimedia reporters, editors, producers or communication specialists for global news outlets, NGOs or international institutions. With your curiosity, critical mindset and storytelling skills, you’ll help shape the world’s understanding of global events.
